Role Summary:

Flowserve Chesapeake seeks a dedicated and reliable Material Handler to join our team. The Material Handler will perform Cycle Count, verify Cycle Counts, needs to be strong on a computer, have excellent stand up forklift knowledge. Able to work with others and take direction well. Overtime available and encouraged.

First Shift: 7-3:30 PM

Requirements:

- Proficient in warehouse operations.
- Skilled in cycle counts.
- Competent computer skills.
- Effective team player.
- Punctual and reliable.
- Open to learning and cross-training across various functions. Coachable.

Responsibilities:
- Unload incoming shipments for pump manufacturing.
- Verify bill of lading and packing list accuracy.
- Operate forklifts.
- Resolve packing list discrepancies and inspect damaged goods.
- Record received materials on purchase orders and distribute copies.
- Ensure ERP receipt of materials within 24 hours.
- Verify accuracy of outbound shipments and properly package them.
- Handle document filing and archiving.
- Follow warehouse processes and Flowserve safety guidelines.
- Utilize basic Microsoft Office skills.
- Flexibility for overtime, weekends, and evenings.
- Physical requirements include standing, walking, kneeling, twisting, bending, lifting up to 50 pounds, and occasional buddy lifting over 100 pounds.
- Requires visual acuity and multitasking ability in a dynamic production environment.
- Familiarity with logistics terminology.
- Perform other assigned duties.

Preferred Experience / Skills:
- Forklift certified.
- Familiarity / working knowledge of ERP systems.
- Problem Solver
- Have a keen attention to detail.
- HS Diploma / GED and 3-5 years relevant experience
