Material Handler

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
Load and/or unload trucks
Assist other receiving team members with separating and organizing material
Put away incoming freight
Transport and put away finished goods to be shipped
Perform necessary housekeeping duties to maintain clean work environment
Maintain safe actions on and off equipment in compliance with all safety rules/regulations required by Emerson, federal, state, and local provisions
Meet department quality, attendance, and productivity requirements
Assist and train new hires
Support other departments as needed
Other duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills, and Ability:
- Must be self-motivated and able to follow instructions with limited supervision
- Must have successfully completed and passed Emerson’s training on all required equipment which included but is not limited to; forklift, cherry picker, and tri-loader
- Must be comfortable working at heights of up to 20 feet wearing fall protection gear
- Must follow all Company Safety Policies and Procedures.
- Must be able to lift up to 35 pounds and walk/stand/work on concrete for 8+ hours
- Ability to use the Hand (RF) scanner effectively and efficiently
