Material Handler

POSITION SUMMARY

 

Performs day-to-day operation of material handling through use of fork-lift.  This includes moving raw materials, finished goods, work in process (WIP), materials throughout the production floor, accurately completes paperwork, associated with incoming product and customer shipments.  Participate in cycle counts and inventory as directed.  Safely operates sit-down rider and electric motor hand carts.  Operate overhead bridge crane as needed.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

 

• Perform day-to-day operations of material handling throughout production floor.
• Complete required paperwork regarding incoming product and customer shipments.
• Participate in cycle counts and inventory as directed.
• Other duties as assigned.

 

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

 

Must complete required training for forklift and overhead bridge crane operations. Ensure safety, quality and efficiency standards are being met.

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent.

Experience

• Previous forklift experience in manufacturing/warehouse environment preferred

Computer Skills

• Ability to input data into computer system

Other Requirements

• Basic math and measurement skills.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Must be willing to work outside of schedule, including weekends and holidays as required.
