What we need:
Mohawk is looking to add a Material Handler III to join our team. The Material Handler is responsible to safely, accurately, and efficiently handle various types of products for the purpose of receiving, locating, or shipping. Product may include roll goods, packages, cartons, or palletized items. Verifies accuracy of products loaded on trucks for delivery to customers.
What you’ll do:
- Operate a lift truck.
- Performs as a Checker – verifying the product pulled against the Pull Sheet
- Performs data entry into AS400 – order quantities, changes, palletizing, etc.
- Responsible for overseeing lower-level Material Handlers, checking their work, informing them of errors, damaged product, proper procedures, etc.
- May interact with customers and handle customers pick up orders.
- Attend any job-related training deemed necessary by supervisor.
- Follow all established standard operating procedures.
- Perform general housekeeping duties as necessary.
- Perform other tasks assigned by management.
What you have:
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
- Successful completion of all required on the job training.
- Successful completion of all required health and environmental safety training
- No prior experience required.
- Operate in a team-based environment.
- Minor computer skills
- Ability to become certified on all types of lift equipment (fork, pole order picker).
- Ability to operate on-board RF equipment and have a basic understanding of the AS-400 system.
- Must be able to lift 50 - 80 lbs. numerous times throughout shift.
- Must be able to walk, stand, bend, push, pull and reach for long periods of time.
- Must be willing and able to work any shift or number of hours deemed necessary by management.
