As the Material Handler I you are responsible for handling, storing, and distributing raw materials, components, and finished goods. This role ensures compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), safety regulations, and company procedures while supporting production operations and inventory accuracy.

Responsibilities:
Receive, inspect, and store raw materials, components, and finished goods according to warehouse procedures
Pick, stage, and deliver materials to production areas based on manufacturing schedules.
Assist in shipping and receiving operations, ensuring accurate documentation and labeling.
Perform cycle counts and physical inventory checks to maintain accurate inventory records.
Report discrepancies, damaged materials, or shortages to warehouse supervisor or material handler lead.
Operate warehouse management systems (WMS) to track inventory movements
Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment (as trained and certified).
Perform routine inspections and basic maintenance of equipment.
Adhere to GMP, FDA, and company SOPs for material handling and storage.
Maintain proper documentation for material transactions, ensuring data integrity.
Follow all safety procedures
Keep work areas clean and organized following 5S principles.
Assist with warehouse projects and process improvements as assigned
Communicate effectively with production, quality, and warehouse teams to ensure smooth operations.
Perform other assignments, as needed.
Requirements:
High school diploma or GED required.
1+ year of warehouse, logistics, or material handling experience in a regulated environment ((pharmaceutical, biotech, food, or medical device industry preferred).
Experience operating a forklift is required. Forklift Certification preferred or willing to obtain certification.
SAP or Oracle experience preferred.
Basic knowledge of warehouse operations and inventory management.
Ability to follow written procedures and maintain accurate records.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Hazmat Certification preferred
Ability to work overtime, weekend, or shift work as needed to support production demands.
Physical Job Requirements:
Ability to lift heavy materials (up to 50 lbs), operate material handling equipment, and work in varying environmental conditions.
Stand, walk for periods of time.
Role will be onsite in Parsippany, NJ.
