The Work You Will Do:
Master Equipment Mechanic
District One / District Maintenance / Heartland Operations Center
This position will serve as the lead in ensuring vehicles and equipment are in proper working condition. Key responsibilities include performing skilled mechanical and technical work in the diagnosis, and repair of various automobiles, trucks, and heavy equipment, purchase parts and supplies, complete all required paperwork, process invoices and work orders. This position will also respond to emergency road service calls.

Annual Salary Range:
$2365.39 / Bi-weekly
Your Specific Responsibilities:
Serve as the lead in performing skilled mechanical and technical work in the diagnosis, repair, overhaul and replacement of gasoline or diesel engines, transmissions, clutches, brakes, electrical systems, hydraulic systems and other parts and major components in automobiles, trucks, heavy equipment, and other related equipment. Field test vehicles and equipment to ensure the repairs have been satisfactorily completed. Only field test and operate equipment requiring a CDL upon receipt of the required CDL instructional permit or CDL license. Repairs, changes, and balances tires on automotive and heavy equipment.
Plan and schedule shop workload for the mechanics and provide customer service support by communicating with internal customers and vendors, in the absence of the Shop Supervisor. Oversees proper processing of invoices and completion of required paperwork and work orders and review shop work order data
