A Brief Overview
The Marketing Specialist is responsible for leading the development and day-to-day execution of advanced, data-driven marketing strategies for each assigned client area within the Methodist Le Bonheur Healthcare system. This role requires expertise in both digital and traditional marketing, along with the ability to leverage analytics in order to optimize multi-channel campaigns. In addition to leading cross-functional collaborations, this role will develop annual strategic plans, report campaign performance directly to key stakeholders, and work to ensure that ongoing efforts provide high-impact, results-driven outcomes aligned with the healthcare system's strategic goals. What you will do
- Develops annual marketing plans, ensuring strategic alignment, timely execution, and effective budget management across assigned service areas.
- Leads the day-to-day coordination and execution of marketing initiatives, driving both strategic direction and creative development to deliver impactful, outcome-focused campaigns.
- Monitors the performance of marketing campaigns and adjusts strategies, as needed, to improve effectiveness and achieve desired outcomes.
- Oversees paid search and paid social media advertising campaigns, in partnership with external resources, and the creation of dedicated landing pages to drive engagement among target audiences.
- Partner with internal teams to support sponsorship initiatives and event planning.
- Works with communications, marketing, and web team members to ensure cohesive execution across messaging, audience targeting, and digital experience.
- Represents the marketing department in both in-person and virtual client meetings with a emphasis on relationship building and clear communication.
- Reviews marketing content for accuracy, clarity and brand consistency, while also ensuring all materials and marketing activities meet healthcare regulatory requirements.
- Prepares performance reports and presentations to share campaign results, strategic insights, and marketing impact to system stakeholders.
- Performs other duties as assigned or requested, contributing to the broader success of the marketing team and organizational goals.
Education/Formal Training Requirements
- Required - Bachelor's Degree Marketing
- Preferred - Bachelor's Degree Advertising
- Preferred - Bachelor's Degree Business Administration/Management
- Preferred - Bachelor's Degree Communications
Work Experience Requirements
- Required - Business, marketing, communications, nonprofit management, development or related field 3-5 years
- Preferred - Healthcare environment 1-3 years
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Demonstrates a strong understanding of core marketing principles including branding, positioning, segmentation, and campaign strategy.
- Proven track record of leveraging business intelligence and market research to inform strategic planning and decision-making.
- Understands emerging trends in marketing, usage of cutting-edge tools and AI technologies to enhance strategic impact and operational efficiency.
