About the role

The Marketing Intern supports the Cleveland Metroparks Marketing Department and gains hands-on experience across marketing, communications, research, and analytics. This role is ideal for a student or recent graduate looking to build real-world skills in a dynamic, mission-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with collecting, analyzing, and synthesizing information, including conducting in-person surveys and interviews.
  • Mine internal and external data sources to generate insights that support product, marketing, and sales strategies.
  • Use Google Analytics to develop insights and make recommendations for digital and website strategy.
  • Support promotional efforts with media partners.
  • Update website content and assist with ongoing site maintenance.
  • Assist the photographer and video producer as needed.
  • Track, organize, and maintain data and metrics for the research team.
  • Gather information and write content for e-newsletters
  • Proofread written communications for quality and accuracy.
  • Attend events at Lakefront locations to support data-gathering projects.
  • Provide administrative support and assist with special projects as assigned.
Qualifications

Education and Experience: Candidate must be a current, or recently graduated college or university student pursuing coursework in marketing, communications, or market research related coursework.

Qualifications:

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; able to write clearly, concisely, and persuasively.
  • Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with staff, media partners, and the public.
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Able to work independently, take initiative, and manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Professional maturity, sound judgment, and the ability to handle confidential information.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

Work Schedule: Up to 40 hours per week Monday - Friday; must be able to work at least 4 days/week
