About the role

onsemi is looking to hire cleanroom operators to support operations at our Nampa, ID, semiconductor fabrication plant! Our products are in popular high-tech devices, drones, automotive rearview cameras, gaming systems, medical devices, and self-driving cars!

Shift: Night F Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, e/o Saturday 

You are a great fit if you... 

  • Have no problems wearing lightweight hoods, smocks, or boots throughout the majority of your 12-hour shift. We also prohibit the wearing of perfume, cologne, hairspray, makeup, contact lenses, dresses, and open-toed/high-heeled shoes. These dressing requirements help protect the highly sensitive tech products you will be working with! 
  • Enjoy detailed work in a clean, structured environment and follow established safety and quality procedures. 
  • Have a desire to learn and grow in the manufacturing or semiconductor industries! 
  • Have the drive and capability to be cross-trained (learn more than one job or operation). 
  • Enjoy working together with equipment technicians (mechanics who are charged with maintenance), process technicians (fix any defects in the wafers), engineers, and managers to produce the highest quality product. 

Responsibilities: 

  • Operating manufacturing tools to process high-quality products. 
  • Working in a self-directed work team environment to achieve daily goals. 
  • Interfacing with computer systems to perform job duties. 
  • Performing all activities safely and responsibly and supporting all Environmental, Health, and Safety requirements and programs. 

Requirements: 

  • High School Diploma or equivalent. 
  • Language Fluency - English (Written & Verbal). 
  • Must be able to work a 12-hour shift in a clean-room environment. 
  • Strong attention to detail. 
  • Must lift up to 25 pounds over the head and frequently move it over extended distances. 
  • Must be able to stand, stoop, and reach for extended periods of time. 
  • Comfortable working with and around chemicals (safety training is provided). 
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in both a team and an independent environment. 
  • Organizational skills and the ability to multi-task and prioritize effectively to complete tasks. 
  • Unrestricted right to work in the United States. 
  • Stable work history is a plus. 

Work Schedule: 

 Shift: Night F Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, e/o Saturday The schedule is 4 on/3 off for week one and 3 on/4 off for week two. Flexibility to work these hours is required
