Job Description
The Team Lead is a well-rounded employee who works with minimal direction and coordinates the activities of others. The Team Lead has a working knowledge of shop operations, equipment function, material handling, safety, quality, and daily production requirements. The Team Lead is the individual that keeps production moving, fills in where needed, troubleshoots problems and meets the quality standards expected by Remington.
As the Team Lead, you will:
- Understand Remington safety requirements and area compliance requirements.
- Responsible for overall production quality.
- Assign work and job tasks as needed to meet schedule.
- Designated trainer for all operations within the assigned area.
- Ensure all processes are being followed as defined by the area standard work and operating
- system.
- Ensure all materials and supplies are being stocked according to the material handling
- guidelines.
- Fill in for team members on break, lunch or out for the day.
- Responsible for meeting the production requirements for the day.
- Ensure area cleanliness standards are maintained.
- Contact the appropriate skills and trades as needed to keep machines, equipment and facilities in proper working order.
- Regular rotation through all jobs each week – on the floor 90% of the time
- Rapid problem solving and corrective actions
- Lead problem solving efforts using the 8D or the other problem solving methods
- Escalate concerns and issues to supervisor/management including documentation
- Continuously audit lines for standard work compliance
- Monitor SQDEC performance throughout the shift
- Adhere to 5S standards

You will have the following:
- High School Diploma or G.E.D.
- Must be knowledgeable of all load line processes and equipment.
- Must exhibit team leadership skills (teamwork, good communication, good interpersonal skills, self-motivating).
- Must be willing to train new employees to the department/area as assigned.
- Must be able to work independently without continual supervision.
- Posses basic computer skills
Pay Range:
$25.18 - $27.32The actual annual salary offered to a candidate will be based on variables including experience, geographic location, education, and skills/achievements, and will be mutually agreed upon at the time of offer.
