Manufacturing Production Worker

The Dairy Plant Worker shall be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:

Scrubbing pipe fittings and machines with chemical solutions and brushes, dismantling and reassembling machines, attaching pipes and fitting to the machines using wrenches, opening containers and bags to dump various ingredients into machine hoppers, start and stop machine and equipment, do minor adjustments to machines as needed to maintain operations, climb, stoop, crawl, twist, turn, and move objects above and below the head, walk continuously. Load and unload tanker trucks, wash tankers, run HTST machine.

• Ability to fill out daily written reports.

• Must be able to follow both verbal and written instructions.

Physical Requirements:

(S)he may be required to work in outside weather for the duration of the shift in the staging and loading of trailers.  May be required to stack and unstack items weighing 50 pounds from a height of approximately seven feet to the ground and back continually for the duration of the shift.  Must be able to work in both very hot (more than 100 degrees) and very cold (less than 20 degrees below zero) and in a very wet and humid environment for extended periods of time.

Education, Certifications and Experience:

The following is preferred:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.

Other:

The Dairy Plant Worker is an hourly position and reports to the Supervisor or Plant Manager. 

Working overtime, evenings, and holidays may be required.
