Join Our Team as a Manufacturing Supervisor!!

Are you a hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment? We're looking for a Manufacturing Supervisor to lead, coach, and develop a high-performing production team on 2nd shift (3:00 PM – 11:00 PM) at our Mebane, NC facility.

In this role, you'll play a critical part in driving safety, quality, productivity, and continuous improvement while creating an environment where employees can succeed. Responsibilities:

Lead Production Operations

  • Supervise daily manufacturing activities to achieve safety, quality, delivery, and productivity goals.
  • Schedule and assign work based on production priorities and customer demand.
  • Maintain a strong presence on the production floor by coaching, supporting, and developing team members.
  • Partner with Maintenance, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Quality teams to quickly resolve production challenges.
  • Ensure smooth shift handoffs and effective communication between teams.

Champion Safety & Quality

  • Promote a culture where safety is the top priority.
  • Ensure compliance with all company policies, quality standards, and regulatory requirements (ISO, GMP, IATF 16949, as applicable).
  • Monitor production processes and documentation to maintain consistent quality.
  • Lead investigations into quality or production issues and implement effective corrective actions.

Develop and Inspire Your Team

  • Lead, mentor, and train production associates, technicians, operators, and material handlers.
  • Create an engaging work environment built on respect, accountability, teamwork, and continuous learning.
  • Conduct performance reviews, provide coaching, and recognize employee achievements.
  • Support employee growth through cross-training and development opportunities.

Drive Continuous Improvement

  • Lead Lean Manufacturing, Practical Process Improvement (PPI), and 5S initiatives to improve efficiency and reduce waste.
  • Participate in Kaizen events and continuous improvement projects.
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes, increase productivity, and support automation initiatives.
  • Use production data to drive operational improvements and informed decision-making.

Monitor Performance

  • Track key production metrics including safety, quality, downtime, scrap, throughput, and efficiency.
  • Communicate production performance and improvement plans with leadership.
  • Ensure production goals are consistently met while maintaining high standards of quality and customer satisfaction.

What We're Looking For

Education

  • Minimum Required Education: HS Diploma/ GED
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, Operations, or a related field preferred.

Experience

  • 5+ years of manufacturing or production experience.
  • 2+ years of leadership or supervisory experience in a production environment.
  • Experience in high-volume, automated manufacturing preferred.
  • Experience with plastic injection molding, machining, or assembly operations is a plus.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Strong leadership and team-building abilities.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing, 5S, and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to interpret production metrics and make data-driven decisions.
  • Experience with ERP/MES systems (SAP preferred) and Microsoft Office.
