Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is looking for a skilled and effective Compliance Manager (Level K) to support Manufacturing Operations in Portland, Oregon.
The successful candidate will be expected to apply an interdisciplinary, collaborative approach with internal and external partners and leverage their knowledge of manufacturing processes, Lean Six Sigma, safety, quality, productivity, and affordability to shape the planning, development, and execution of Lean+ manufacturing solutions to satisfy program needs. This position will lead Portland’s Compliance Manufacturing team and lead development of our compliance requirements.
Position Responsibilities:
Manages employees performing compliance improvement strategies for production system.
Deep understanding of BPI and PROs that govern BCA manufacturing compliance and able to execute improvement projects to adhere to requirements.
Develops and executes project and process plans, implements policies and procedures and sets operational goals.
Acquires resources for projects and processes, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements.
Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports.
Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes.
Leads, develops and motivates employees.
Able to lead compliance team to improve MBU adherence to BPI and PRO requirements.
Critical understanding of PC 700 and able to convey to team members at all levels.
Able to execute project and process plans that ensure the 7 steps of compliance are followed in dynamic manufacturing facility.
Influence team members across all levels and able to lead through ambiguity, business challenges and changing business environment.
Conduct compliance audits in partnership with our quality team and improve clarity to BPIs.
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.
This position must meet export control compliance requirements. To meet export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.15 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
3+ years in an aerospace, fabrication, or manufacturing environment.
3+ years of experience working with and partnering with cross-functional teams on projects and initiatives.
3+ years of experience using LEAN Manufacturing and/or Continuous Improvement practices and tools in the workplace.
1+ years of experience leading teams in a formal and/or informal leadership role.
Ability to work variable shifts, including weekends and overtime.
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Bachelor’s degree or higher.
Project Management experience.
