Job Description

Assist Manufacturing Engineers and cross functional teams in the development of products, process, equipment/fixtures as part of the manufacturing process.

  • Provides technical support for new product builds (e.g., troubleshoots equipment and manufacturing engineering problem solving).
  • Collects data and performs statistical analysis for process characterization (e.g. Cpk/PpK).
  • Collaborate with scrap reduction initiatives and generate new ideas for improving processes.
  • Coordinates process changes including but not limited to Proof of Concept (POC), Installation Qualification (IQ), Operation Qualification (OQ), Process Qualification (PQ/PPQ) builds.
  • Executes equipment qualifications (plans, builds, and reports) considering Ergonomic, Health and Safety (EH&S) elements of compliance.
  • Performs DOE/process characterization builds on production line.
  • Supports equipment/fixture development from simple production aids to full automation.
  • Support procurement of needed components/equipment and ensuring proper documentation is followed.
  • Assists in writing new detailed processes and implementing changes to existing documentation.
  • Interfaces with other functions to obtain/deliver materials and information.
  • Demonstrates a commitment to product quality.
  • Trains production trainers/operators/manufacturing technicians on existing/new/improve processes.

Qualifications

  • Currently working towards a bachelor’s degree in engineering and ideally having 5 years of experience in the Medical Device/Pharmaceutical industries.
  • Strong mechanical and/or electrical skills.
  • Strong verbal, written, analytical skills and ability to interact effectively with all levels.
  • Well organized, exhibiting meticulous attention to detail.
  • High level of time management and communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask and work independently on assignments.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, an energetic, proactive, flexible individual with high integrity and ethics in all dealings.
  • Eager to learn, enthused by the day and resilient.
  • Skilled with standard office applications including MS Word, Excel, Visio, Powerpoint.

Experience with CAD programs, SolidWorks preferred.
