Compensation: $85,000–$115,000 + Full Benefits

Role Overview
As Manager, Sales Application Engineering – Mechanical Systems, you’ll lead a team of Sales Application Engineers who use proprietary, web-based software to automate quoting, proposal generation, and follow-up—delivering customer proposals in as little as fifteen minutes. You’ll mentor staff, drive process improvements, and spend roughly 30% of your time on the phone (20–25 customer calls per day) ensuring technical solutions align with customer needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and motivate the Sales Application Engineering team
- Manage RFQ inquiries and review engineering drawings & quotes
- Drive technical discussions with customers; investigate needs & propose alternatives
- Apply your mechanical engineering expertise—combustion experience a plus—to optimize our products for each application
- Coordinate internal meetings and collaborate with sales professionals to close deals
Requirements
Who You Are
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
- 10+ years of people-management experience
- 5+ years of hands-on mechanical engineering experience
- 2+ years in industrial sales application engineering
- Strong mechanical aptitude and excellent telephone communication skills
- Solid work history (no short-term roles under 3 years)
