Job Description

Reporting to the Director of Revenue Operations, this individual will manage a team and own the global process for the technical revenue and key accounting operations for Sandisk.   In this leadership role, you will collaborate closely with worldwide cross functional teams to ensure compliance with revenue recognition guidelines (ASC-606) and provide corporate guidance on revenue recognition policy and procedures.  This role will include various harmonization projects and opportunities to enhance our accounting process to be more efficient and effective.  This position is best suited for an accounting professional who possesses strong communication, organization, technology and leadership skills as well as enjoys working in a challenging, fast-paced environment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • This position will be managing the end-to-end accounting, business, and system processes in compliance with revenue recognition guidance (ASC 606) and has significant responsibility for analyzing and reporting revenue for the Company
  • Manage technical research and analysis for significant revenue arrangements and write technical memos supporting the accounting position
  • Analyze monthly and quarterly revenue results for accuracy and completeness and be able to effectively communicate the results to the executive leadership team
  • Key contact for internal and external auditors, and cross functional teams who may have questions around our gross to net revenue
  • Review processes on an ongoing basis and implement improvements
  • Collaborate with IT and other stakeholders to modify and implement functionality improvements to system reports and processes
  • Lead the harmonization of various processes amongst the legacy systems
  • Approver and reviewer of SOX controls and internal and external PBC requests
  • Coach and provide guidance to a team of 3-4 senior analysts

Qualifications

REQUIRED:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in accounting and revenue roles in high tech or similar industries
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, CPA or MBA preferred

PREFERRED:

  • Experience with revenue transactions with distributor and OEM customers within the semiconductor industry a plus
  • Experience in SAP and Oracle Cloud environments a plus

SKILLS:

  • Advanced Excel skills and analytics aptitude required
  • Proficient knowledge of US GAAP and revenue recognition fundamentals
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, CPA or MBA preferred. Big 4 experience a plus

 

The successful candidate will have a proven ability to achieve results in a fast moving, dynamic environment.  This person will utilize excellent written and verbal communication skills to absorb and communicate key data and concepts with cross-functional teams at different levels throughout the company.  The ability to prioritize workload, offer guidance to the team and provide quality work under strict deadlines is a must.
