As a Manager Project Manager at Capital One, you will drive operational excellence, establish risk governance frameworks, and ensure platform compliance across our enterprise tenant ecosystem. You will focus on scaling the Card Authorizations platform safely while maximizing efficiency. You will work with smart and passionate people to deliver results that have a direct impact on the company’s bottom line. General Responsibilities:
Leading moderate to large complex projects and programs by providing strategic direction to projects, peers, and direct reports.
Designing, implementing, and managing operational risk and compliance frameworks to ensure the enterprise platform meets cyber, regulatory, and other internal standards
Establishing and governing platform documentation, controls, and risk-mitigation strategies across all enterprise tenant groups
Leveraging problem solving and influencing skills to ensure project plans deliver on intent
Partnering with Risk, Compliance, and Legal teams to conduct regular risk assessments, manage control testing, and remediate platform vulnerabilities or process gaps
Building relationships and collaborating with key stakeholders to ensure delivery of commitments
Exhibit outstanding influencing skills to effectively drive project / program efforts
Demonstrate a proven track record of excellent project management, bringing the ability to quickly put structure in place to manage work in a dynamic complex environment
Leverage GenAI and automation to identify trends in data, automate risk reporting metrics, and drive continuous efficiency gains across project, process and platform contexts
Display a passion for coaching, developing, and mentoring a team of associates through their leadership style
Have excellent communication and partnership skills which are essential for interacting and communicating with key stakeholders at all levels across the company to manage, inform and influence outcomes
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree or Military experience
At least 4 years of experience in Project Management, Operational Risk Management, or Business Process Management
Preferred Qualifications:
Masters Degree or MBA
5+ years of experience in Project Management, Operational Risk Management, or Business Process Management
1+ year experience utilizing SQL scripts for data analysis
PMP, Lean, Agile or Six Sigma certification
Demonstrated proficiency in utilizing GenAI applications to solve complex business problems, analyze data sets, or automate routine processes
Experience working within an enterprise-scale platform model, cloud infrastructure, or a heavily regulated financial technology environment
Strong communication, problem solving and collaboration skills

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.
McLean, VA: $151,900 - $173,400 for Manager, Project Management
