Job Summary

This position is responsible for acting as the sponsor for the health of the plant systems. This role will facilitate the effective engagement of assigned System Engineers in providing the daily technical support needed for safe, efficient, and reliable operation of Beaver Valley Nuclear Power Plant.

Job Description

Key Accountabilities

• Manage activities associated with System Health Teams.
• Represent System Engineering on outage management teams.
• Direct monitoring of plant systems to optimize system performance.
• Develop action plans and manage completion of activities required to resolve plant performance issues.
• Facilitate staffing activities.
• Direct the activities of the individual contributors within the group.
• Conduct performance reviews, salary actions, and monitor individual contributor and direct reports performance.​
• Prioritize and approve group activities and work products.
• Allocate personnel and budget to complete engineering activities and meet department/site goals.
• ​Provide timely resolution to technical problems to contribute to safe, reliable and cost-effective plant operation

Education, Experience, & Skill Requirements

• Bachelor of Science Engineering degree or related Science degree.
• Detailed knowledge of power plant systems including engineering principles associated with plant design and operation
• Extensive knowledge of Codes, standards, plant specific procedures and regulatory requirements governing the design and operation of nuclear power plants
• Knowledge of planning, scheduling and cost analysis
• Professional Engineering License (preferred)
