Job Summary:
Collaborates with leadership to provide relevant information, knowledge and processes that consistently identify and realize opportunities that improve overall financial, operational, quality performance and the competitive position of the organization. Develops departmental and organizational methodologies, policies and procedures. Leads, trains, and coaches departmental staff members. Supervises and directs the activities of various levels of assigned personnel using both professional and supervisory discretion and independent judgment.
Job Requirements:
Education and Work Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in finance, management engineering, business administration or equivalent combination of education/related experience: Required
- Master's Degree: Preferred
- Five years' relevant experience: Preferred
- One year's leadership experience: Preferred
Essential Functions:
- Prepares ROI analysis for equipment purchases, develops business plans for projects and programs and completes service line analysis. Assists in the development of effective reports and presentations. Works with department leadership to increase the understanding of effective business planning and evaluation methodologies.
- Increases capabilities of leadership to effectively understand and use financial information and evidence based data in the performance of their responsibilities. Ensures compliance and understanding of financial policies and procedures. Maintains objectivity and independence at all times.
- Acts as a resource to department, developing competencies of other team members. Participates in the development of efficient consistent processes and techniques. Tracks performance, analyzes variances and identifies appropriate improvement opportunities. Prepares analysis and summary reports addressing specified requested needs in a timely manner.
- Develops and maintains cost standards, labor productivity targets, target contract rates and annual budgets. Applies benchmarks and targets to access performance. Implements processes that facilitate effective understanding and use of the information to achieve and sustain operational and financial targets.
- Applies management engineering techniques to review work processes. Identifies opportunities to enhance efficiency, reduce cost, improve customer service, increase capacity and improve throughput. Assists in reviewing and documenting operational procedures.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
