Skimlinks, a Connexity company, is a global e-commerce monetization platform, with offices in LA, London, Germany, and NYC. We work with over 60,000 premium publishers (Condé Nast, Hearst Magazines, Buzzfeed…) and 50,000 retailers around the world (Nordstrom, Anthropologie, Saks, Urban Outfitters, Coach, Lululemon...) helping content producers get paid commissions for the products and brands they write about. This gives us a direct view of the browsing and shopping behaviors of over 650 million users. Our technology understands the web pages users visit, the brands and products they look at, the links they click on, and the purchases they make, across our entire network. We track over $2.5m affiliated sales every day and have the expertise and the tools to power all commerce strategies on every channel development of new Merchant / Advertiser client relationships.
Connexity has recently been acquired by Taboola to make the first Open-Web Source for Publishers connecting editorial content to product recommendations, where readers can easily buy products related to stories they are reading.
As a result of our continued growth and expansion, we're seeking a Player/Coach Manager, Merchant Accounts to join our team in New York. Your duties will involve both managing relationships with clients and directing the account management team. Our ideal candidate has great aptitude in building and maintaining customer relationships, and possesses excellent planning and leadership abilities to ensure client growth and retention.
Responsibilities Include:
- Working with partners and internal stakeholders to translate performance goals into key, actionable and measurable activities
- Developing and implementing strategies to drive revenue growth through partnerships.
- Managing all aspects of strategic, affiliate partner relationships including growing and optimizing our existing partnerships as well as assessing and shaping potential new partnership
- Evangelizing how Merchants, Networks, Agencies and Publishers can all benefit from the Skimlinks and Connexity products and network
- Compiling and analyzing reports, to monitor and present back progress on existing merchant programs including top-performing publishers, and making strategic recommendations
- Reviewing existing merchant relationships and contributing to optimization strategies
- Setting up, monitoring & logging merchant progress via internal systems and with Excel reports
- Working with the Operations team to analyze data and ensure our programs are technically optimized
- Enforcing strong network quality standards across Skimlinks Publishers in regards to how they promote Merchants
- Attending conferences and industry events to represent Skimlinks to prospective clients
Requirements
- Knowledge of performance evaluation techniques and metrics
- Solid understanding of budgeting and reporting on progress
- 5+ years of account management experience with a proven track record within a structured sales environment
- 2+ years experience leading a team of account managers
- Solid understanding of the advertising, affiliate, paid search, online publishing or media industry
- Understanding of CPC and CPA cost models and KPIs associated (revenue per redirect, revenue per session, conversion, cost of sale, etc.)
- Demonstrated success in negotiating, relationship building, and account management
- Strong analytic, quantitative, and technical aptitude with great attention to detail
- Driven to help merchants find growth opportunity
- Excellent verbal, written, and communication skills
- Self-motivated, driven, flexible, and adaptable with a proven track record of exceeding goals
- Salesforce/Microsoft Office/Excel/PowerPoint
