Manager, Integrated Business Management

Job Location: Hershey, PA
Hershey, PA preferred. Open to hybrid/remote. Must be willing to come in office in Hershey, PA 1X per month. 

 

Summary:  

Integrated Business Management (IBM) is the nucleus for running Hershey’s US CMG business over the 18-24 month time horizon.  The Manager of U.S. IBM is the steward and facilitator of the end-to-end process for the U.S Confection business.  Done well and done right - this role directly impacts both the effectiveness and efficiency of the comprehensive operations of the U.S. business.  This individual will bring thought leadership and expertise to the areas of planning, operations, organizational wiring, and process management.  Through leadership and strategic thinking will deliver one seamless process that achieves focus, alignment, and synchronization across all functions of the organization used to forecast, plan, and manage the business.

 

The duties of the Manager, IBM include:
• Objective setting and leading the execution and delivery of Hershey’s Integrated Business Management process for the U.S., as well as focus on continuous improvement opportunities 
• Guiding the calendar, cadence and activities of the IBM Process to drive continuous improvement, and ensuring process goals and objectives are consistently delivered 
• Providing linkages between IBM and the company’s Financial plans and Strategic Plan process to facilitate an integrated and sound financial planning environment 
• Analyzing and connecting dots across the business to generate performance insights, and consolidating disparate sets of data and packaging it for relevancy to drive action and influence decision making of leaders
• Supporting transformation efforts to deliver new process and tools as part of our Integrated Dynamic Planning vision

 

Summary of major duties:
Enterprise-wide responsibility for creating, executing, sustaining, and continually improving the IBM process.

Manage agenda, calendar, and facilitate monthly IBM meetings, culminating with the Management Business Review, in association with cross functional partners across Marketing, Sales, Demand Planning, Innovation, Insights, & Finance. Provide critical linkages and contributions to the financial and strategic plan along with supporting business initiatives.  
Drive continuous improvement for existing IBM principles, tools, and methodologies.  

Incorporate industry best practices and tools based on emerging trends and changing internal business requirements.  Integrate auditing of process as a formal tool to ensure continued progression in advancing the IBM capability. 
Serve as both Subject Matter Expert as well as catalyst of change representing IBM in the Integrated Dynamic Planning transformation. Support the implementation of new planning tools and technologies

Minimum knowledge, skills and abilities required to successfully perform major duties/responsibilities:

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:  

Education:    
• Bachelor degree in Business (Finance, Strategy, Operations, Marketing)
• MBA preferred 

 

Experience:    
• Min 4-7 years of multi-functional experience in CPG or consulting
• Demonstrated proficiencies across Operations, Finance, Sales and Marketing, particularly as they relate to achieving Company goals
• Requires a good balance of technical, business, and leadership competencies
• Track record of improving processes
