PSE's IT Infrastructure team is looking for qualified candidates to fill an open Manager Information Technology (M2) - SCADA position!

Job Description
Join our Telecom SCADA team and play a key role in supporting the monitoring and control systems that keep our electric and gas infrastructure operating safely and reliably. This position is integral to enabling real-time visibility and response across critical utility operations.
We are seeking candidates with a strong, well-rounded technical background in utility infrastructure. The ideal candidate brings hands-on knowledge of substation construction, operations, and safety practices, along with a solid understanding of transmission and distribution line construction and field operations. In addition, experience working with SCADA systems in electric and/or gas utility environments is essential.
This role requires a professional who can operate confidently at the intersection of telecom, field operations, and control systems—combining technical expertise with a strong appreciation for safety, reliability, and operational excellence.
This position works under the general direction of senior management to plan, organize, and direct work related to an assigned Telecom segment or area. The role manages a team of Telecom employees, consisting of a mix of union technicians and non-union engineers, many of whom operate with significant latitude and independence. The position is accountable for managing team performance, including performance evaluations, salary reviews, and hiring and termination decisions. It provides leadership to Telecom staff, including career development, performance coaching, administrative oversight, technical guidance, recruitment, and budget management.

Job Responsibilities
- Responsible for the end-to-end design, development and maintenance of systems and services enterprise wide or in a designated business unit.
- Implements organization strategies and operational objectives through the effective direction and management of resources.
- Oversees the format and structure of job packages between engineers/analysts and represented employees.
- Owns and manages relationships with other PSE departments, including Operations, Generation, Facilities, Engineering, Project Management, and Corporate Security.
- Participates in Electric and Gas Operations planning, engineering and construction of telecommunications infrastructure supporting substations, transmission lines, gate stations, generation and storage facilities.
- Responsible for resource planning for IT, Operations, Generation and Facility projects.
- Responsible for managing and overseeing strategic planning relating to telecommunications technologies.
- Responsible for strategic planning relating to Telecommunications organizational optimization.
- Manages and oversees the planning, design, engineering, and construction of telecommunications infrastructure and systems.
- Manages the operation and lifecycle of telecommunication systems, including optimization, preventative maintenance, break/fix, capacity planning, interfaces, maintenance contracts, etc.
- Provides the telecommunications infrastructure to enable productivity improvements for all of PSE.
- Validates the performance and quality of installed and operational telecommunications infrastructure.
- Manages and directs the work of represented and/or non-represented employees consistent with PSE expectations and the IBEW contract.
- Responsible for the development of hardware and software standards relating to one or more telecommunications technologies.
