As the Manager, Information Security & Strategic Projects, you will provide information security leadership and operational support across the organization, helping strengthen cybersecurity, reduce risk, and protect critical systems and data. Partnering closely with the SVP of Information Technology & Facilities, this position supports cybersecurity strategy, security operations, compliance, risk management, vendor security, incident response, and enterprise technology initiatives.

Serving as a key liaison across internal teams, vendors, consultants, and contractors, this role drives the effective execution of security and compliance initiatives while supporting policies, controls, audits, assessments, security awareness, and remediation efforts. Through collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement, the position helps foster a proactive security culture and strengthens the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of organizational information and technology resources.

‖ Responsibilities Include:

  • Coordinating information security initiatives, cybersecurity projects, compliance activities, risk management programs, security assessments, audits, and remediation efforts across the organization.
  • Tracking cybersecurity initiatives, compliance requirements, remediation activities, policy updates, risk mitigation efforts, and project milestones while proactively communicating progress, risks, and concerns to leadership and key stakeholders.
  • Facilitating security, compliance, risk, and governance meetings; documenting key decisions and outcomes; tracking action items; and ensuring timely follow-through on assigned responsibilities.
  • Collaborating across Information Technology, Compliance, Human Resources, Finance, Operations, Academic Leadership, Facilities, and other business functions, as well as with third-party vendors, auditors, consultants, and regulatory stakeholders.
  • Developing and maintaining information security policies, standards, procedures, controls, and security awareness initiatives in partnership with organizational leadership and key stakeholders.
  • Conducting vendor security reviews and supporting third-party onboarding, contract reviews, cybersecurity due diligence, risk assessments, and ongoing monitoring of external service providers.
  • Supporting security audits, compliance reviews, vulnerability management, incident response, business continuity, disaster recovery, and corrective action planning and tracking.
  • Monitoring regulatory, contractual, and industry cybersecurity requirements to support organizational compliance, risk mitigation, and alignment with recognized security practices.
  • Contributing to annual security planning, cybersecurity budgeting, technology risk assessments, security tool evaluations, and the development and execution of strategic security roadmap initiatives.
  • Safeguarding confidential, sensitive, and regulated information by consistently demonstrating a high level of professionalism, integrity, discretion, and security awareness.
  • Partnering with the SVP, Information Technology & Facilities while operating as an integral member of the ChanceLight team, coordinating work across departments, locations, vendors, and project teams and appropriately escalating matters outside the position’s scope of responsibility.
  • Performing additional responsibilities, special projects, and cross-functional initiatives that support information security, compliance, risk management, technology operations, and broader organizational objectives.

  • High school diploma or equivalent with passage of basic skills test.
  • Bachelors degree or higher in business administration, project management, information technology, facilities management,
    finance, operations, or a closely related field of study preferred.
