Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Planning and Alignment
- Work with the Chief of Staff, Human Resources, to set and deliver on HR’s overarching communications plan, in line with the HR strategy and annual operating priorities
- Drive greater HR communications alignment, purpose, and impact in employee communications to support the overall employee experience
- In partnership with the Head of Business Process Execution and Effectiveness, drive employee engagement around key HR initiatives and programs to support the success of the Springboard strategy and key HR annual processes.
- Position Corning as a leader in the field of HR, through the creation and management of a comprehensive executive communications plan for the CHRO and HRLT, including advising and pursuing opportunities related to thought leadership
- Communications Development and Execution
- Develop and execute strategy to measure communications effectiveness, reach, and engagement
- Oversee the delivery of HR functional communications, including the delivery of quarterly communications meetings, a biweekly newsletter, and any other key communications vehicles as recommended for increased engagement and understanding
- Share and reinforce annual workplace culture survey results, and action plans, including regular HR leadership narratives to employees
- Position Corning as an employer of choice and inspire current and prospective employees about the value of working at Corning through the building, strengthening, and leveraging of Corning’s employee value proposition (EVP) messaging and content internally and externally
- In partnership with the Chief Diversity Officer and the DE&I office, support Corning’s efforts to create a workplace where all belong and have the ability to grow their career. This involves creating content for internal and external audiences, according to the annual DE&I calendar and the annual report
Additional Responsibilities
- Collaboration and Engagement
- Drive and maintain strong connections and collaboration between Corporate Communications and business unit communications for HR communications activities
- Connect with, and delegate to, key subject matter experts in Corporate Communications to support the delivery of impact-based communications plans.
