Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for a Manger General Manufacturing 3 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals within the HALE organization. This leadership role is located in Palmdale, CA.

The selected candidate has the responsibility, authority, and accountability for leading activities of multiple cost centers including but not limited to safety, quality, cost and schedule objectives and factory accountability along with other duties.

Essential Functions:

  • Responsible for, but not limited to, SOW execution and work assignment delegation by the front-line managers, ensuring managers direct reports are supported by front line leaders and aided with the proper technical support in a diverse statement of work including but not limited to acceptance test procedure execution, build, assembly and other critical statements of work.  
  • Must be able to provide clear and concise direction and coaching to front line leaders and other personnel in the work environment.
  • Must be able to work well with others in a cross functional team, possess strong verbal and written communication skills, and have thorough knowledge of the company procedures and policies.
  • Ensures functional and organizational goals are met by all team members including but not limited to; employees monthly 1 on 1’s, quarterly connections, consistent usage of and accuracy of PAIC cards, monitoring and ensuring process adherence from all team members, supporting and aligning team to quality, cost and schedule expectations and lastly, holding front line leaders accountable to these set expectations and others.
  • Encourages and provides direction for career development of employees, including educational options for highly motivated employees.
  • Provides leadership/direction to ensure all affordability initiatives and opportunities for process improvements are systematically identified, pursued, and supported.
  • The selected candidate should thrive in a fast-paced work environment with high expectations, significantly diverse assignments, collaborative/team settings across all levels.
  • Must be willing to work a flexible work schedule that may include extended shifts, holidays, and weekends, and support on-call status.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree and 4 years’ experience in an aerospace, automotive, military, manufacturing, maintenance and/or related environment OR High School Diploma AND 8 years of experience in an aerospace, automotive, military, manufacturing, maintenance and/or related environment
  • 4 years of experience in a supervisory and/or management role supporting dynamic/cross-functional teams.
  • Must be willing to work any shift including Monday - Thursday - 1st shift (5:00 am - 3:30 pm) or 2nd shift (3:30 pm - 2:00 am) This position will be supporting 2nd shift operations.
  • Must have an active DoD Secret clearance and ability to obtain Special Program Access.
