The Financial Systems Manager oversees a team of Financial Systems Analysts dedicated to the technical aspects of core financial systems. This role involves collaborating with IT and Finance department leaders to ensure the reliable, accurate, and timely provision of financial data.

What You Will Do:

  • Oversee the IT Financial System Team personnel, including planning, allocating, and monitoring work assignments, managing employment decisions, performance management, training and development, and other related personnel matters.

  • Document all processes thoroughly to maintain consistency and enable seamless knowledge transfer among team members.

  • Promote a collaborative work environment to ensure team members can effectively support one another.

  • Design, develop, test and implement Aderant Expert customizations in Classic and Framework.

  • Develop and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and data endpoints to improve financial data processing and reporting.

  • Manage, resolve, and provide optimal solutions for user support tickets and technical requests.

  • Collaborate with business users to translate business needs into functional and system requirements, supporting business processes, origination, system, and technology changes.

  • Manage financial application business communication with management and key stakeholders.

  • Ensure compliance with all software and hardware requirements from vendors.

  • Manage projects related to the firm's financial systems, including planning, design, implementation, testing, and deployment of financial systems, alongside integration of third-party applications and interfaces.

Who You Are:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance and Accounting, Computer Science or equivalent.

  • Experience in a law firm is preferred.

  • 8+ years of experience with Aderant Expert.

  • 3+ years of managerial experience.

  • Extensive knowledge of Aderant Expert Classic and Framework platform, including customization, database structure, and design studio.

  • Proficient in development tools including Visual Studio with SQL, SSRS, SSIS, SharePoint, C#, .NET, ASP.NET, and PowerShell. Additionally, experienced with Office 365 products such as MS Access, Power Apps, and BI tools.

  • Experience with Iron Python and API-Rest Framework.

  • Experience with other financial systems: Expert Image, EIS, intapp Time, Chrome River, financial systems warehouse.

  • Understanding of finance functional areas and processes.

  • Understanding of law firm financial database structure.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Capable of communicating effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences.

  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, teamwork, communication, and customer service skills

  • Ability to collaborate with all levels of personnel within the firm.

  • Self-motivated with the capacity to multi-task and prioritize workload.
