Manager, Financial Information Systems

The Manager, Financial Information Systems will be responsible for the governance, planning, and execution activities surrounding Financial systems. This position has direct responsibility to ensure that all work activities under its span of control are performed with attention to the highest standards of quality with a focus on continuous process improvement. The Manager works closely with both the Information Technology, Accounting and Finance to standardize and streamline system processes, reporting, and financial and accounting workflows effectively. This individual establishes plans and objectives for maintaining master data integrity across Accounting and Finance.

What You'll Do

• Functional System Administrator
• Financial Functional system administration, configure the client facing components and modules for all products in the accounting and finance ecosystem. Subject matter expert for all financial systems.
• Provide training, consultation and ensure adoption for financial systems to the accounting and finance community.
• Adapts quickly to software upgrades and/or system implementations and user acceptance testing. Proactively recommend changes in systems and processes.
• Support Information Technology on all system upgrades and integrations for Finance and Accounting.


• Master Data Management
• Design, develop, and implement policies and governance for master data management for the Accounting department.
• Partner with Accounting and Information Technology to implement key system and process changes. Focus will include establishing new procedures and data cleansing and reporting across all systems.
• Monitor all processes and streamline all system inefficiencies. Recommend and implement changes to existing process across functions within the Accounting department.
• Organize and manage data clean-up and validation efforts by reaching out to all
• business partners to ensure integrity of master data and overall compliance.
• Communicate master data efforts to various levels of management. Administer all aspects of master data management.


• Report Management
• Manage and maintain Financial reporting platform, Proactively recommend changes in systems and processes.
• Liaison to Information Technology gather requirements, specifications and disseminate to IT for development. 
• Reporting manager, distribute the operational reports schedule monthly. Proactively streamline current reporting process.
• Supports the Accounting and Finance teams on an ongoing basis for adhoc reports, external data request.
• Define and maintain service level agreements (SLA) with internal customers and the business. 

What You'll Need

• Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Engineering, Accounting, Finance or related area or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years with combined business process, data management, FIS / General Ledger / ERP program management.
• Must have experience with Workday - Accounting & Finance software
• Experience successfully implementing Financial / General Ledger systems and processes
• Experience managing data systems (Workday preferred)
• Experience in Project Management
• Experience in managing a robust financial reporting platform
• MS Dynamics GP, Workday
• Knowledge of GL structure
• Consultation skills - ability to work with internal clients and understand their needs
• Project management skills such as creating plans at the proper level of detail and ensuring progress through completion
• Ability to communicate effectively
• Ability to craft highly practical and realistic solutions
