Overview: 

Premier America is seeking a Manager, Financial Analysis, who will oversee the development of programs and/or models that evaluate the organization’s asset/liability strategy. The role monitors and reports on interest rate risk and liquidity risk. Also assists in the development and deployment of strategies designed to mitigate these risks; and is a key contributor to the development of the annual corporate budget

.

What You Will Do: 

  • Assumes responsibility for Asset-Liability Management, Funds Transfer Pricing, Balance Sheet Modeling, and Profitability solutions. Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments.
  • Assumes responsibility for the development of annual budget/forecasts and monitoring of budget/forecast progress by reporting variances from the established budget.
  • Manages the annual budget coordination/preparation/ consolidation process, integrate budget data in the Prologue GL system, and manage preparation of monthly budget variance reports for management comments or explanation. 
  • Uses the ALM solution to forecast interest margins under different scenarios to test/validate annual balance sheet and income statement forecasts for Premier America’s Business Plans.
  • Conducts annual training for participants and stakeholders in Premier America’s budget preparation process.
  • Assumes responsibility for Allowance for Credit Losses adequacy assessment and Current Expected Credit Losses calculation. Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments.
  • Gathers data from all internal and external sources, validate, balance, and upload into nCino system; review/modify CECL parameters as needed. Gather/review/modify data, assumptions, and methodologies utilized by the nCino model.
  • Interpret results and/or make recommendations to management regarding the results of model runs and how to continuously improve efficacy and soundness of the systems.
  • Assumes responsibility for the effective performance of financial analysis and reporting, including:
  •      a. ALM validation and ALM assumptions – works with third party  service providers as needed regarding model validation,          prepayment assumptions, and non-maturity deposit studies.
  •      b. CECL validation and CECL assumptions – works with third party service providers as needed regarding model validation and methodology selection validation.
  •      c. Liquidity management – works with third party service providers as needed to ensure availability of Premier America’s credit lines.
  •          i. Manages pledging of loan and securities collateral to the Federal Reserve Bank.
  •          ii. Manages processing of borrowing transactions in the Prologue Investment Accounting system and manual processing of certain borrowing payments.
  •          iii. Manages required liquidity reporting and monitoring.
  •      d. Hedging management – work with third party service providers as needed to support Premier America’s hedging activity.
  •          i. Manages pledging of collateral to derivatives counterparties.
  •          ii. Manages required hedging reporting and monitoring.
  •      e. Regulatory and Management Reports – Assist in Call Report preparation by managing quarterly calculation of insured and uninsured shares, weighted yields, costs of loans and shares, and other schedules as needed with accuracy and timeliness.
  •          i. Manages preparation and filing weekly FR2900 reports.
  •          ii. Manages preparation of weekly cash flow projections and share & loan reports for Product & Pricing Committee.
  •          iii. Manages preparation of regular monthly and other reports on request for the President/CEO, other members of management, auditors, and regulatory examiners.
  •      f. Manages interest rate risk modeling solution, funds transfer pricing modeling solution, liquidity analyses, what-if analyses, and manages preparation of related reports.
  • Provides support to ALCO Committee, Board Finance Committee, Product & Pricing Committee, the Accounting Department, and other departments as assigned.
