What does a Website Design Manager do?

You are responsible for managing our customer-facing websites. You must have a continual process improvement and UX design mindset with a strong understanding of conversion rate optimization (CRO) on marketing landing pages. Website managers are expected to have meticulous attention to detail, outstanding problem-solving skills, and fantastic project management skills.

To ensure success, a website manager must display an excellent understanding of content management systems (CMS) like Adobe Experience Manager and technology infrastructures using CSS, Firewalls, IDS/IPS, Web-Proxy, and Security Audits. You must be comfortable troubleshooting websites, organizing and executing site updates, and constantly improving the User Experience (UX) on site.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, implement, manage, monitor, and upgrade the Tyson Foodservice websites.
  • Manage website updates, taxonomy, and content edits/add/deletes in support of business, marketing and product initiatives.
  • Build wireframe designs to communicate and rationalize site UX consistent with documented customer journey maps and desired CX.
  • Work with DCX leadership to ensure full funnel connectivity and conversion optimization.
  • Respond to and troubleshoot all website issues in collaboration with IT Enablement partners.
  • Manage day-to-day break/fix issues.
  • Ensure the website is protected by collaborating with IT to enable the appropriate security measures.
  • Understand JavaScript, CSS, React, and HTML code languages.
  • Conduct content audits to eliminate redundant and/or duplicate information.
  • Manage technical SEO optimizations and web properties to ensure updated site compliance with search engine results pages.
  • Implement and optimize appropriate website content aligned with the organization’s strategy, aligned to digital best practices.
  • Ensure website quality and efficiency by conducting regular test plan and testing/QA of all new pages before go-live to check for quality and responsiveness across devices.
  • Improve the User Experience (UX) of the website regularly.
  • Collaborate with marketing leadership to ensure the website aligns with brand strategy and meets the organization’s standards.
  • Create strategies to grow subscriber base, web traffic metrics and conversion rate across key marketing landing pages.
  • Ensure full compliance on the website with all laws and regulations.
  • Keep up-to-date with industry best practices and monitor competitor websites.

Requirements

  • BS/MS degree in marketing, graphic UX design, or related qualification.
  • 3 years of work experience as a website manager.
  • Expert knowledge of Macromedia suite, Adobe suite, Content Management Systems (AEM preferred), and W3C Web standards.
  • Proficient in JIRA or a similar project tracking software for managing web updates
  • Highly proficient in HTML5, XHTML, CSS3 design, cross-browser and cross-platform compatibility, firewalls (functionality and maintenance), Access, mySQL and JavaScript.
  • Great understanding of conversion rate optimization (CRO) of landing pages
  • Knowledge of Adobe range of products including XD, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Acrobat and Dreamweaver
  • Ability to troubleshoot website issues in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail with an analytical mind and outstanding problem-solving skills.
  • Fantastic time management skills with the ability to multi-task.
