Manager, Cyber Strategic Programs Lead

As a Manager in Capital One’s PCI team, you will apply your leadership, project management and analytical skills to our highest profile projects. You will support a team of associates responsible for working across the enterprise to develop and implement cutting edge solutions to ensure Capital One Cyber’s continued stability and success. Living in the Governance & Risk organization within Cyber, lead partners with teams across Cyber to identify synergies between PCI strategy and data protection strategy in an open, collaborative environment where new ideas and solutions are both welcomed and rewarded.

PCI team leads are highly motivated with excellent project management and communication skills. They have a high level of exposure across Cyber and the lines of business, and are given the opportunity to work with executives to create and implement innovative solutions to identify and mitigate potential risks to the Company. The ideal candidate is resourceful, analytical, self-motivated and has great attention to detail.

Responsibilities:

This role supports Cyber’s horizontal program for Payment Card Industry tenets across the Enterprise. Specifically, this role will:

• Drive execution of our PCI-enablement strategy, tied to the requirements in the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS) 

• Spearhead strategic initiatives and associated communication and awareness to Cyber leadership, other partners and stakeholders

• Ensure strategy for safeguarding cardholder data and sensitive authentication data meets agreed requirements

• Stay up to date on material developments in PCI policies and standards

• Support an effective engagement model between Cyber and PCI stakeholders to ensure consistency with the Enterprise

• Support innovation through process improvements and automation

• Support or lead ad hoc projects related to Cyber’s Data Strategy

• Empower and support the PCI Team to accomplish Cyber’s strategy

• Maintain a broad understanding of technologies used by financial institutions

Basic Qualifications:

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent certification

• At least 4 years of experience working in the fields of information security, IT compliance or risk management

• At least 4 years experience working in consulting, or supporting, partnering and interacting with cross functional customers

• At least 2 years of experience in project management 

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree

• 3+ years of Project Management experience leading cross functional projects and programs

• 2+ years experience working with Amazon Web Services technologies

• 2+ years of experience with governance, risk and compliance technologies

• 1+ years experience at or supporting a financial services institution 

• 1+ years of Project Planner, Jira, or Confluence experience

• 1 or more professional certifications: Information Systems Auditor (CISA), Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP), Certified Data Privacy Solutions Engineer (CDPSE), Payment Card Industry Qualified Security Assessor(QSA),  Payment Card Industry Internal Security Assessor (ISA), AWS Cloud Practitioner, or AWS Certified Security- Specialty

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.
