The Manager Corporate Risk Management, Insurance is responsible for the support and administration of Nestlé’s Insurance program and risk management department in North America in conjunction with the Sr. Manager Corporate Risk Management.  These functions include, but are not limited to, contract review, certificates of insurance, interim policy and renewal activity, loss mitigation and non-casualty claim support.  This individual will help oversee and manage the overall insurance program for Nestlé’s Owner Controlled Insurance Program & Builders Risk Program in conjunction with our broker partner.    

 

The Manager Corporate Risk Management will work in coordination with other Risk Management Department functions to ensure a global understanding of exposures and external influences impacting Nestlé’s Insurance Program in North America.  Additionally, they will need to liaise with internal partners such as Group Risk Services, Legal and Operational Contacts and external vendor partners such as Brokers, Insurers and Third Party Administrators. 

 

Insurance coverages include:
Property, Casualty, FinPro, Environmental, Marine Cargo, Business Trave Accident, Surety, Builders Risk, OCIP, Ad-Wrap and Canadian Coverages

 

Responsibilities

Maintain:
- Manage and maintain pertinent data for assigned insurance coverages
- Strong relationships with key internal and external business partners
- Support in relation to contracts and certificates of insurance
- Support of Risk Management department and internal Risk Management functions (Claims, Business Continuity, Enterprise Risk Management and Risk Financing)
- Engagement with the Legal department in support of complex cumulative injury files

Analysis:
– Continual review of insurance programs to ensure proper coverages are in place to protect Nestlé with M&A Activity
– Participation in any meetings to address insurance needs
– Maintain focus on the Future of Finance initiatives for proper data collection, review and reporting to appropriate audience
– Ad Hoc support for any NiM needs

Design:
– Understand current coverage lines and identify gaps or bottlenecks for shared knowledge within the Risk Management department
– Relative points for Dashboards/Reporting for presentation internal partners on key areas of focus
– Updated coverage recommendations, or deletions, based on new exposures from M&A, Divestitures or changes in the NiM’s operational plans.

Implementation:
– Educational/Tradeshow presentations around ancillary coverages – Builders Risk & OCIP and Ad-Wrap to encourages further NiM program participation
– Policy renewal process for specific timelines and factors that may influence upcoming renewals positively or negatively.

 

Requirements/Skills:
– Minimum 10 years of corporate Risk Management, Insurance Broker experience or similar. 
– A solid understanding of Captive Insurance programs
– Understanding of the structures of multinational controlled master insurance programs.
– Knowledge of claims-made insurance exposures and structures
– Experience in analyzing Mergers/Acquisitions/Divestitures 
– 10+ years’ experience managing insurance contracts
– Excellent communication, presentation skills
– Undergraduate Bachelor’s degree required, MBA or graduate degree in Finance, Accounting or similar preferred
– 10+ years of Analytical skills in a Finance, Risk Management, or banking environment a plus
– Experience in non-P&C and asbestos claims is preferred
– Ability to work independently, troubleshoot and a self-starter
– Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-p
