Job Description

Role Purpose

NBCU Global Legal Operations & Innovation is responsible for improving and maintaining the global legal function’s delivery of effective and efficient legal services. Our team is implementing a contract lifecycle management system (CLM), and we are seeking a talented and motivated manager to join this effort. You will collaborate with Global Legal Operations & Innovation, Operations & Technology, and members of legal groups from across NBCU to optimize our forms and processes.

Job Duties

The CLM Operations & Engagement Manager will be responsible for facilitating NBCU legal users through all stages of the CLM onboarding process, from pre-implementation discovery through post-launch maintenance. The CLM Manager’s responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Legal User CLM Readiness
    • Lead CLM introduction, as well as initial legal process discovery and documentation;
    • Create, maintain, and distribute CLM onboarding resources and communication/marketing materials, updating on an ongoing basis from project learnings; and
    • Assist legal groups in agreement inventory, as well as template preparation and validation process – highlighting and resolving potential questions or concerns as needed.
  • Implementation and General Project Administration
    • Lead communication efforts with legal teams throughout CLM implementation:
      • Advise on, and communicate, project and system updates;
      • Facilitate system training and template testing;
      • Coordinate legacy contract migration, and
      • Gather legal group feedback, then address concerns
    • Liaise between project team, vendor, and system users to surface issues;
    • Document common questions and best practices for project team and improve CLM onboarding materials;
    • Facilitate process changes with legal users as needed; and
    • Develop and administer CLM training, including post-execution contract administration activities, such as reporting and amendments.
  • Post-Launch Legal Support
    • Serve as primary CLM contact for legal team administrators post-launch;
    • Triage and address user requests and required changes;
    • Communicate key system updates and project information to legal team administrators;
    • Collect feedback and metrics on CLM usage and project team performance,  then promote awareness of issues where relevant; and
    • Work with project team to plan future system needs based on feedback.

Qualifications

Basic Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent; JD preferred
  • Contract management or transactional legal experience
  • Proficiency with O365 suite, including MS Teams, SharePoint, and Power Automate

Desired Characteristics

  • Experience working with a CLM or other intake/workflow automation systems preferred, including exposure to API integrations and planning conditional logic
  • Entertainment industry experience preferred
  • Proven leadership skills, demonstrating strong judgment and decision-making abilities
  • Experience managing critical stak
