Your Role:

As the Manager of the Battery Test & Validation, you’ll lead a team to test and validate the batteries for FF vehicle programs. You will also manage and maintain a battery lab with the battery cyclers and other test equipment, and work on the prototype pack build and support the product pack manufacturing process development.

  • You will be responsible for battery pack design validation (DV) and product validation (PV).
  • Develop and execute test and validation activities for battery pack and its components
  • Coordinate with internal and external test resources, such as remote test labs, equipment rental suppliers, internal technician teams, etc.
  • Lead the test execution on-site and at off-site labs.
  • Own and maintain DVP&Rs for battery pack and its components.
  • Troubleshoot the battery failures, perform root cause analysis, and provide reports
  • Responsible for the battery incoming check and documentation.
  • Support the BMS software verification and diagnostics via the battery pack tests.
  • Manage and maintain the battery test lab, keep the battery cyclers and other test equipment in working condition.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or related field
  • 5 years of product development and testing experience
  • Experience with High Voltage systems for automotive applications
  • Experience with the Li-ion battery power and performance tests
  • Experience with environmental, mechanical, and electrical validation testing of electronic systems
  • Familiar with CAN, LIN and other automotive communication protocols and tools
  • Strong technical, communication, and analytical abilities
  • A penchant for self-starting and an ability to handle concurrent programs
  • Knowledge of basic ECU/microcontroller hardware architecture

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proven expertise with battery systems testing.
  • Familiar with battery systems development process
  • Knowledge of automotive test standards (ISO 16750, ISO 11452, etc.) and EV regulatory guidelines
  • Demonstrated proficiency in working with system/software/hardware requirements development and validation.
  • A creative curiosity, collaborative ethic, hardworking enthusiasm, and driving personal vision.
  • Excellent communication skills and team-working tendencies

Annual Salary Range:

($135K - $165K), plus benefits and incentive plans
