ABSMC-Summit CampusPosition Overview:
Responsible for management of the human, financial and capital resources to achieve optimal clinical and financial outcomes. Oversees application of the stated goals and parameters of the American Society of Anesthesia of Technologists and Technicians, within the scope of California Law. Promotes collaborative practice, performance-improvement activities and staff education. Ensures that care is based on the age-related needs of the patient (adolescent, adult, and geriatric) with consideration of the environmental safety needs, Infection Control standards and the licensing requirements of The Joint Commission (TJC), Title 22 and Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services(CMS).Job Description:
EDUCATION:
Bachelor's: Anesthesia Technician Program
CERTIFICATION & LICENSURE:
CCCA-Certified Anesthesia Technician
BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider
TYPICAL EXPERIENCE:
8 years recent relevant experience
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:
In-depth knowledge of air way management and response to emergency situations.
Demonstrated knowledge and interpersonal skills necessary to tactfully direct the efforts of diverse health professionals to meet patient needs.
Establishes protocols and practices, ensuring compliance with department, affiliate, operating unit, and/or system standards, policies and procedures and applicable laws and regulations.
Ability to lead, train, and supervise staff in a designated unit.
Verbal and written communication, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to build and establish effective working partnership with employees, peers and/or leaders to achieve business objectives.
Demonstrated leadership skills, including team building, and coaching/mentoring with the ability to motivate and engage others.
Ability to handle difficult circumstances and make sound business decisions with little direction.
Demonstrates proficiency and knowledge of technical functions required in accomplishment of regular patient care activities (e.g. Emergency Response, Airway Management, infection control, computer skills and supply management).

Pay Range is $55.35 to $83.03 / hourThe salary range for this role may vary above or below the posted range as determined by location. This range has not been adjusted for any specific geographic differential applicable by area where the position may be filled. Compensation takes into account several factors including but not limited to a candidate’s experience, education, skills, licensure and certifications, department equity, training and organizational needs.
