As a Manager, Agile Program Management you will leverage your understanding of agile values & principles, modern product delivery, industry proven agile and SDLC practices to lead delivery of cross-functional initiatives, shape how we deliver business value and focus on continuous improvement of our agile product delivery practices. You leverage your Lean/Agile delivery management skillset to continuously evolve product delivery practices to eliminate waste, remove systemic impediments, and improve productivity & quality. As a player/coach you will lead and mentor a team of agile practice management roles and foster their development. You will develop and coach teams to be able to identify, manage, and escalate risk, and effectively manage risk within the teams you oversee.  

Responsibilities:  

  • Lead a high performing team of Agile Program Managers/Scrum Masters who are accountable for well managed product delivery and efficiently lead product delivery within and across product teams within a product family/area. Player/coach, responsible for professional development of direct reports. 
  • Lead delivery of initiatives across multiple product teams and product families. Ensures effective coordination and collaboration of product teams to maximize the flow of delivery across teams and product families. 
  • Be the champion of Agile delivery practices and provide thought leadership to Discover. 
  • Partner with Product and Technical leadership to ensure clear alignment of work against objectives and key results. 
  • Evolve product delivery practices to eliminate waste, remove systemic impediments, and improve time to market while increasing quality. 
  • Leverages metrics to derive insights, continuously identify and drive improvement opportunities to fruition. 
  • Foster adoption of the CraftWorx/single Agile Way of Working standards and contribute to the Discover body of knowledge on our patterns and practices. 
     

Minimum Qualifications 

At a minimum, here’s what we need from you: 

  • Bachelors – Information Technology or Business or related 
  • 6+ years Agile delivery lead role (i.e. Scrum Master, Release Train Engineer, Agile Project Manager, Agile Program Manager, Product Owner), project management or related 
  • 6+ years Systems delivery experience with Software Development Lifecycle on multiple projects 
  • One of the following certifications required: CSP-SM, CSM, PSM 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Masters in Information Technology or Business or related 
  • Desired certifications: Scrum at Scale Practitioner, SPC 5.0 or 6.0, , RTE, ICP-ATF, ACP-

              ACC, DAD 

  • 2+ years of leading teams of agile role (managing people) 
  • Strong Jira experience 
  • Intermediate or Advanced experience with Tableau 
  • Strong Jira Align experience. 
  • Expert in Scrum framework with advanced experience in scaling frameworks (ex: SAFe). 
  • Strong analytics experience synthesizing data into compelling messages for change to Product and Engineering stakeholders. 
  • Expertise in creating software delivery plans: breaking down larger concepts into consumable work and working with engineering to size and sequence work for delivery. 
  • Experience building continuous improvement roadmaps for area(s) supported. 
  • Knowledge of Software Capitalization and R&E Tax Credit laws and how to apply them to building software. 
  • Understands need for architectural runway in software development and proactively seeks ways to optimize work flowing through the system.  
  • Strong experience engaging and partnering with a PMO governance body. 
  • Ability to roll up sleeves and dig deep into the work; have intimate knowledge of- delivery in area supported.
