Job Description

The Management Trainee in the US Procurement team will gain a holistic overview of key sustainability initiatives at Sika during an 18-month rotational traineeship program. The program will start by gaining an understanding of procurement activities where the individual will support activities in two different procurement categories. The program will proceed with rotations to different departments such as Regional and Global Sustainability, ESG Controlling, Sustainable Products, Marketing & Sales, and Communications. While focusing on individual assignments during the rotations, the individual will also be working on two projects. One of them will be the implementation of a PCF Platform Automation, the other one will be defined in the course of 2024. The last 6 months of the traineeship will be an abroad assignment in Hamburg, Germany and Zurich, Switzerland.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree sustainability, with chemical and business knowledge
  • Capable of independent collaboration with other functions / divisions
  • High proactiveness, flexibility, and analytical thinking
  • Excellent project management, leadership, and communication skills
  • Fluent in English; conversational in Spanish is a plus
  • Abiltiy to Start in May or June 2024; Duration 18 months (6 months abroad in Germany + Switzerland)
