Schedule Details/Additional Information:

1st shift 7:30a-4:00p Wednesday, Thursday, and every other Friday with expectation for working extra days to help cover PTO throughout the year.

Pay Range

$20.40 - $30.60

Major Responsibilities:
  • Records and tracks patient mammography assessment data, pertinent pathology and surgical results.
  • Responsible for patient communications. This includes generating result and patient reminder letters and sending them out.
  • Refers patients to appropriate person for questions of a clinical or technical nature.
  • Obtains and returns mammography films for transfer and/or for comparison as appropriate for accurate diagnosis.
  • Maintains the medical audit records necessary for compliance.
  • Answers telephone, screens calls, and takes messages.
  • Registers patients, assists with the completion of forms, obtains and updates demographic and insurance information, and completes and obtains signatures on all appropriate documents.
  • Contacts patients and schedules them for appointments to ensure follow-up.
  • May perform Computerized Aided Detection (CAD) and hanging protocols.
  • Must be able to demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served. Must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span and possess the ability to assess data reflective of the patient's status and interpret the appropriate information needed to identify each patient's requirements relative to his/her age-specific needs, and to provide the care needed as described in the department's policies and procedures. Age-specific information is developed further in the departmental job standards.

  • None Required.

Education Required:
  • High School Graduate.

Experience Required:
  • No experience required.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required:
  • Demonstrated knowledge of medical terminology.
  • Demonstrated high attention to detail.
  • Proficient problem solving skills.
  • Effective written and oral communication skills, including telephone etiquette skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Must have excellent organizational and customer service skills.
  • Basic computer skills.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:
  • Exposed to a normal office environment.
  • Must have functional speech, vision and hearing.
  • Must be able to sit for long periods of time.
  • Must be able to lift up to 10 lbs.
  • Operates all equipment necessary to perform the job.
