Maintenance Technician - Westwood, MA

Job Overview:

Join our dynamic team of employees at Romanow Container, We are currently looking for a mechanic at our manufacturing facility located in Westwood. This is a fast-paced manufacturing environment and the ideal candidate will need to be a quick learner with a good work ethic and have a desire to learn our manufacturing processes and learn to maintain complex machinery. Prior mechanical experience preferred, salary commensurate with experience.

Job Responsibilities:

Must demonstrate a professional, friendly demeanor

Good verbal skills, math skills and attention to detail

Read and understand work instructions, safety instructions, and troubleshoot mechanical issues/problems and repair equipment and machinery

perform preventative maintenance tasks on machinery

Possess a sense of urgency

Design, fabricate, and construct devices and fixtures.

Must be willing to work overtime and weekends as needed

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily and safely. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.

· Above average mechanical knowledge of gears and gear ratios

· Ability to weld and fabricate

· Able to read blueprints and schematics

· Knowledge of electrical wiring and circuits including three phase

· Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatics

· Ability to plumb and install air and water lines

· Some carpentry knowledge
