Description

With over two decades of experience in the maintenance and construction industries, we are seeking to welcome a Maintenance Technician to join our dynamic team.
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the general maintenance and orderliness of the property and oversight of the maintenance systems to ensure optimal operations and client/tenant satisfaction in accordance with department protocol.
- General knowledge of trades - plumbing, electrical, carpentry, lock smith, painting, HVAC etc.
- Responsible for completion of work orders for tasks related to the physical maintenance and repairs of the assigned buildings utilizing work order related software programs
- Responsible for implementing routine physical improvements
- Respond to emergency situations in accordance with departmental protocol
- Assist Supervisor in establishing and maintaining all equipment, tools, supplies in stock, inventories and logs
- Implement, with Supervisor, a comprehensive preventative maintenance plan and maintain all related records and logs
- Assist with controlling expenses associated with the operation of the buildings.
- Communicate effectively to appropriate individual building status and changes
- Adhere to all safety standards, policies & procedures, codes of conduct and best practices
- Act in a professional and courteous manner at all times with client, co-workers, vendors, etc.
- Utilize materials, supplies, tools and other building property in a safe, productive manner
- Perform other duties and special projects as assigned
- Ability to learn new skills and be independent as well as work well within a team atmosphere
Requirements
- Ability to build, implement, and track a comprehensive preventive maintenance program
- Attention to detail: maintenance issues must be documented and reported. Time tracking is also important, so work can be appropriately assigned and billed.
- Plumbing, electrical, carpentry, lock smith, painting, HVAC etc.
Education and Experience:
- 2-4 years of related work experience and technical training.
- High school graduate or GED required, technical school training in maintenance related courses are preferred.
Physical Requirements
- Will be required to work in settings with extreme cold or extreme heat, depending on time of year.
- Prolonged periods of standing, kneeling, crawling, or climbing ladders.
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds at a time.
