Maintenance Technician

The Maintenance Technician will support and improve the manufacturing process for producing classic and digital X-ray film.

 

Responsibilities:

• Provides critical maintenance support for mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and PLC control systems associated with Production machines
• Troubleshoot operational and functional problems to identify the root cause and a best course of action to return machines to service
• Become familiar with Technical Plant Support Procedures and their execution
• Identify areas where improvements can be made to existing maintenance processes and procedures
• Perform routine, scheduled preventative maintenance on all production equipment.
• Assist the Engineering Group with projects, which may include fabrication, assembly, installation, and start-up assistance
• Oversee / assist outside contractors
• Maintain a productive work relationship with Maintenance, Production, and Engineering personnel

 

Education:

• Two-year program from a community college or comparable program to receive an associate's degree

 

Experience:

• Minimum 2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Machine shop experience with mills, lathes, etc. preferred but not required.
• Experience working in a 12 hour rotating shift schedule
