The primary responsibility of the maintenance technician is to perform the various tasks required to maintain and repair production process equipment and factory facilities.

Responsibilities Related to the Job: 

• Ensure compliance with all safety rules and use of proper PPE
• Adhere to Cardinal Safety Rules; follow all standard operating procedures.
• Perform basic preventive maintenance tasks and assist team in more complex PMs and repairs to onsite electrical, mechanical, hydraulic/pneumatic production equipment.
• Requires ON-CALL responsibilities on a rotational basis; work closely with other teams to maintain 24-hours production operations
   

Social Responsibilities: 

• Maintain compliance with policies and procedures, management systems, and all applicable Environmental, Health, Safety other regulations.

Required Qualifications and Knowledge: 

• High school diploma, or equivalency; graduate of a technical school or apprenticeship in an applicable maintenance discipline (mechanical, electrical, hydraulics, plumbing, controls) a plus

• 1-3 years in industrial maintenance or related experience; 3-5 years a plus
• Valid driver’s license; technical certification in a related maintenance field a plus

• Effective verbal/written communication skills; Ability to read and understand all necessary technical manuals and maintenance procedures; blueprint and machine technical specification reading skills a plus
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy; familiarity with computer systems and CMMS a plus
