Basic Job Functions:

The basic functions of the Maintenance Technician include preventative maintenance, electrical and PLC troubleshooting and repairs, repairs on existing mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic equipment.  Additional responsibilities include installation, fabrication, and startup of new equipment, and filling in for other positions, as needed.  

 

Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Working knowledge of Allen Bradley PLC.
• Three years of industrial maintenance experience.
• Experience in troubleshooting and repair of hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, and electrical systems in an industrial setting.
• Welding or fabrication experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

Formal education or training in a maintenance-related field.
