MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN

Must be able to make repairs to optical machines in a timely manner and document the process within the CMMS

1. Ensures proper operation of equipment by performing scheduled preventative maintenance.
2. Monitors and completes all required maintenance tasks within a specified timeframe.
3. Performs calibration and verifies test standards are within required tolerances.
4. Manages the repair and calibration of key tools and measurement devices, including general calibration.
5. Keeps inventory by entering in part information into the CMMS 
6. Administers and updates all calibration methods and procedures as required.
7. Maintains control and traceability of tooling within the shop and with outside vendors.
8. Communicates machine updates, status, and the timeframe for repairs to production, leads, or supervisors. 
9. Actively participates in building a collaborative and productive team environment
10. Trains on the calibration process as needed.
11. Contact vendors for support with machine repairs and diagnostics.
12. Performs installation of all types of optical equipment and works with engineers as needed.
13. Interprets engineering schematics and procedures used during machine diagnostics
14. Supports the operational environment by maintaining an OSHA safety standard, there 
15. Assists with building maintenance as needed

Other responsibilities as assigned.

• Three to five years of experience that is directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must have a background in optical machinery, automotive, or maintenance 
• High School Diploma, Technical certification preferred
• Forklift and scissor lift operations licensed and able to perform safely preferred
