As a Maintenance Technician II for our Engineering plastics Compounding (EPC) plant, you will build a meaningful career with the opportunity to improve the overall Maintenance and Reliability of the site. In this role, you will be responsible for maintenance, repair and installation of industrial mechanical and equipment under supervision.  This included Extruders, rotating equipment such as pumps, mixers, compressors, etc.  You will also maintain, repair and install stationary equipment such as piping, valves and structures under supervision.  In this position you will support safety by participating in safety activities and teams on site and utilizing safe practices in all work. 

 

During your 8 hour day shift as a Maintenance Technician II, you will

 

 

• Adhere to the designated work processes and schedules to ensure efficiency and consistency.
• Apply basic mechanical skills and demonstrate aptitude in related tasks.
• Utilize hand and power tools effectively and safely.
• Exhibit a working knowledge of site-related processes and procedures.
• Operate under regular supervision while effectively executing assigned tasks.
• Work within established routines and follow instructions accurately.
• Understand and comply with BASF technical standards relevant to the job.

If you...

• Have a HS Diploma or GED with 4 years of Industrial Maintenance experience or have a 2-year associate degree from a technical school and 4 years of experience in an Industrial Maintenance position.
• Have 4 years of equipment hands on experience, working in maintenance and repair of pumps, compressors, mixers, blowers, piping, valves, etc.
• Have hands on experience working on Electrical Equipment and instrument repair/replacement/setup.
• Can lift up to 50 lbs. carrying up to 25 lbs.
• Are organized, detail oriented, and able to prioritize tasks, manage your time, and be self-motivated.
• Are willing and able to work overtime, weekend work when necessary.
