Position Summary:
The Maintenance Technician provides support to operations through responsive, effective repairs and improvements to automated manufacturing equipment, preventing downtime and conducting preventative maintenance. The technician will also monitor, maintain, and repair various building systems. The technician will report to the US Facilities and Maintenance Manager.
Responsibilities:
- Performs preventative maintenance on manufacturing and building equipment as assigned.
- Trouble shooting of electrical, pneumatic, PLCs, robotics, and tooling systems utilized in the production of sophisticated electronic systems.
- Trouble shooting of building electrical system, compressed air system, chilled water-based HVAC systems and other general building facility systems.
- Assist in design and construction of special equipment.
- Responsible for helping maintain a clean and safe work environment and compliance within a Class 100,000 ISO 8 clean room.
- Works in a safe manner and observes plant safety rules and regulations at all times. Aware of all Health, Safety & Environmental policies.
- Recommends proposals for improving products, processes, systems, productivity and working environment.
- Know, understand and comply with Manufacturing Quality policy.

Qualifications:
Education:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
Experience:
- 2+ years experience in a similar role.
- Good understating of high/low voltage electrical systems.
- Experience managing individual projects on a job site.
- 2+ Years of general contracting or facilities maintenance preferred.
- Solid background in pneumatic, PLCs, and robotics.
Knowledge, Skills, Demonstrated Capabilities:
- Strong mechanical skills.
- Capable of building prints and schematic drawings.
- Capable of working on their own with little supervision.
- Up to date on current Florida building code.
Technical Systems Proficiency:
- Good working knowledge of HVAC systems and specialized condensing/compressor systems.
- Proficient in utilization of computers and software including calibration and preventative maintenance.
- Experience utilizing Building Management Systems.
- Experience in EGSE (Electrical Ground Support Equipment) systems highly preferred.
Travel Required:
- Up to 5% travel required.
Eligibility:
- U.S. Citizenship required.
Clearance:
- Ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance.
Physical Requirements:
- Carrying: able to carry documents and/or electronic equipment up to 20lbs/9kg.
- Lifting: able to lift documents and/or electronic equipment up to 20lbs/9kg.
- Pushing/Pulling: able to push/pull items in office areas.
- Sitting: able to sit for extended periods of time at computer and in meetings.
- Squatting/Kneeling: able to occasionally squat or kneel to retrieve or replace items shelved on bottom shelves.
