This position is responsible for general repair and preventative maintenance of the plant instrumentation and electrical equipment.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Maintain department and plant safety performance.
• Perform Emergency, Repair and Preventative maintenance of plant instrumentation as required.
• Conform to federal, state, corporate, and plant environmental standards.
• Plan and schedule his/her own work list by coordinating and communicating with other technicians.
• Enter completed Work Orders in the SAP system.
• Read blueprints, P&IDs, single-lines, ladder logic, and wiring schematics.
• Utilize test equipment to calibrate plant instrumentation.
• Troubleshoot and repair electronic, electrical and pneumatic instrument loops.
• Maintain instrument and electrical filing system, both electronic and paper systems.
• Accept call-ins, weekend duty according to the schedule and overtime as assigned by the Maintenance Manager or Supervisor.

REQUIREMENTS

• High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) required
• Minimum 2 years of experience in Instrumentation and Electrical work
• Instrumentation and equipment troubleshooting.
• Strong personal safety philosophy
• Experience with Siemens (Honeywell/Delta V are other control systems) is preferred
• 480V knowledge is required
• Strong troubleshooting skills required
• Must be able to follow procedures accurately
• Must be team oriented and have a willingness to learn and further develop technical skills
• Flexibility and adaptable to changing situations required
• Comply with all Evonik, state, and federal regulations.
• Support basic safety process and maintain all required training
• Climb ladders/steps
• Lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
• Meet call-in requirements as needed.
• Perform elevated work.
• Work in all weather conditions
