Interstate Warehousing is a cold storage facility located in Newport News, Virginia. We are currently looking to add a maintenance technician to our staff to help assist with daily tasks around the facility. We offer on-site training; experience is not required. Installs, maintains, and repairs machinery, equipment, physical structures, and pipe and electrical systems in an industrial establishment by performing the following duties.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:


General building upkeep (pressure washing, painting, sanitation, etc.).
Responsible for working safely and reporting all unsafe acts and conditions.
Repairs plumbing problems, including pressure regulations and valves.
Maintenance on concrete flooring.
Repairs and troubleshoots electrical forklifts, including motors, drive units, and hydraulic cylinders.
Changes and troubleshoots electrical contacts when necessary.
Maintains and reports all building equipment as necessary.
Responsible for preventative maintenance on all equipment (freezer doors, forklifts, etc.).
Responsible to report food safety and quality problems to their supervisor
Other duties may be assigned


Monday-Friday: 7:00am-3:30pm.
