A Day in the Life:
The primary role of the maintenance supervisor is to provide support the overall leadership and direction to the maintenance/reliability function. This position is responsible to the maintenance manager for the safe, effective and efficient use of all manpower, materials, parts and other resources under their control as well as providing capacity, asset reliability and best life cycle cost to the operation.
Under regular day to day guidance, the maintenance supervisor is responsible for implementing and managing the systems, maintenance organization structure, and processes necessary to achieve and sustain the maintenance/reliability mission. Through their efforts, a proactive culture which fosters open communication and trust that values reliability, efficiency and effective life cycle asset management is achieved.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Promotes and supports a strong culture of environmental, health, and safety excellence.
- Assists in managing the maintenance and reliability budget to optimize spending while achieving targeted production capacity and asset reliability goals.
- Ensures compliance with Bunge's standard reliability and maintenance work processes.
- Provides input to the Plant Reliability Excellence Manager regarding succession planning, workforce development, skills assessments, and training initiatives.
- Supports the management of critical spare parts inventory, balancing availability with inventory optimization and leveraging automated materials requisition processes where appropriate.
- Contributes performance data and insights for benchmarking against internal and external standards to identify continuous improvement opportunities.
- Supports and participates in Management of Change (MOC) processes to ensure safe and effective implementation of operational and maintenance changes.
- Assists in the execution and continuous improvement of the site's reliability strategy.
- Fosters a reliability-focused culture that proactively addresses equipment failures by identifying, analyzing, and eliminating root causes through methodologies such as Root Cause Analysis (RCA).
- Supports the implementation of organizational structures, systems, tools, and technologies that drive a proactive and preventive maintenance approach.
- Ensures the effective utilization and integration of corporate standard work order planning, scheduling, and materials kitting processes to maximize maintenance efficiency and effectiveness.
Skills/Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or science technology, or equivalent work experience with 5+ years’ experience in reliability and/or maintenance positions with a focus on electrical required.
- Prior experience with standard corporate maintenance workflow processes.
- Demonstrated ability to lead Root Cause Failure Analysis reviews.
- Must possess a demonstrated high degree of tact in dealing with both plant staff and maintenance personnel.
- Strong verbal, written and listening communication skills required.
- Excellent administrative and analytical skills including intermediate to advanced knowledge of Excel.
- Demonstrated experience with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) or comparable system required, preferably experience in SAP Plant Maintenance and Materials Management Modules.
