About the Role:

As a Maintenance Supervisor, you will lead a team of technicians to ensure efficient and reliable production line operations. You'll oversee maintenance activities, manage periodic revision programs, and support new projects to minimize downtime and contribute to the company’s success. Strong leadership, teamwork and problem-solving skills are key to excelling in this role.

 

Shift Details:

• 2nd Shift: 1:30pm - 10:00pm
• 3rd Shift: 9:30pm - 6:00am
• Reports to Mechanical Manager and eligible for overtime incentives.

 

Main Responsibilities:

• Supervise and mentor a team of maintenance technicians, offering guidance and feedback.
• Plan and prioritize maintenance to minimize production disruptions.
• Implement preventive maintenance programs to maximize equipment reliability.
• Inspect machinery and infrastructure to identify and address issues.
• Coordinate maintenance schedules with other departments to avoid downtime.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and foster a safety-conscious culture.
• Maintain records of work orders, equipment history, and inventory.
• Manage external contractors for specialized repairs as needed.
• Work with procurement to ensure necessary spare parts are available.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost reductions.

Who we are looking for:

• Proven experience as a Maintenance Supervisor (atleast one year) or similar role in a manufacturing setting.
• Previous work in a Mechanical role/knowledge. 
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Experience in a unionized environment is preferred.
• Knowledge of machines, tools, and maintenance practices.
• Familiarity with business and management principles (planning, resource allocation, etc.).
• Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and organizational skills.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and commitment to maintaining a safe workplace.
• Proficiency in computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
• Willingness to work off-hours or on-call for emergencies.
