About the Job:
The Facilities Management department is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Maintenance Project Coordinator I. Strong communication skills are essential for coordinating maintenance and repair projects, collaborating effectively with contractors and stakeholders, and contributing to the continuous improvement of our facilities.
As part of the Authority’s career pathway program School 2 SAN, this opportunity connects recent graduates and emerging professionals in engineering or a closely related field with meaningful work at a globally recognized airport. Whether joining as an entry-level Maintenance Project Coordinator or a more experienced one, the selected candidate will engage in ensuring the organization’s infrastructure is safe, reliable, and efficient. This position offers valuable hands-on experience, professional growth, and the chance to be part of a dynamic team dedicated to excellence in airport operations.
What is School 2 SAN? The School 2 SAN program provides entry-level opportunities for individuals with limited or no prior work experience. Our goal is to help students and recent graduates build their knowledge, skills, and confidence on the job, while gaining exposure to the wide range of careers available in aviation, public service, and infrastructure. You are eligible if you meet the minimum education requirements of the position. Individuals hired through this pathway begin at a lower salary and are automatically moved to the organization’s benchmarked series hiring salary once the minimum years of experience have been met. What You’ll Do:
- Project Coordination: Act as the liaison between the Authority and contractors for maintenance and repair projects involving runways, aprons, facilities, landscaping, and related infrastructure. Coordinate projects with contractors, internal stakeholders, tenants, and other parties. Monitor and inspect projects.
- Inspection & Compliance: Inspect and ensure contractor compliance with safety, security procedures, and contractual requirements. Maintain project lifecycle documentation, prepare progress reports, review and approve change order requests, make field adjustme
